June 11, 2009 / DIGMA Launches

The official launch of the Design Industry Group of Massachusetts (DIGMA) on June 10, 2009, was featured on xconomy. MassArt is one of the founding organizations of DIGMA and the college's president, Katherine Sloan, is on its leadership committee.

April 13, 2009 / Breaking Ground on Campus Construction Project

Today, April 13, 2009, Massachusetts College of Art and Design (MassArt) began breaking ground on the first stage of a comprehensive project that will transform the college's campus along Huntington Avenue in Boston. Over the next several years, MassArt will reshape its urban campus, making it more suited to the academic needs of a specialized art and design college. The college will also expand on-campus housing to nearly double the number of students it can house on campus.

James Morley Read was a judge for the 3d competition of Cut & Paste 2009 Boston which was held Saturday, March 14, 2009 at the Cyclorama (Boston Center for the Arts) a very exciting night innovative work celebrating the process of the creative design professions.
